In Strathnairn.

We offer a selection of wholesome Scottish food

prepared in the traditional manner,

and served with care.

Good food takes time to prepare

so please be patient.

We trust that you have a pleasant and enjoyable meal.

Due to Scottish Law on smoking,

no smoking is allowed inside the property but we do provide a gazebo

in the garden for smokers to use.

Starters.

Island Crofter's Pate.

A coarse pate made from pork, toasted onions

herbs and spices served with Scottish oatcakes.

Prawn Cocktail.

North Atlantic Prawns smothered with

brandy marie-rose sauce and dressed with king prawns.

Scottish Mushrooms.

Buttom Mushrooms coated with crispy breadcrumbs

and served with garlic mayonnaise.

Jalapeno Peppers.

Prime jalapeno pepers, battered, crumbed, and filled with cream cheese,

deep fried and served with a light chilli sauce.

Smoked Salmon.

West coast smoked salmon dressed with Kintyre smoked mussels

served with brown bread & butter.

Moray Coast Queenies.

Moray queenies breaded, deep fried and served

with a maple mustard dip.

Deep Fried Whitebait.

served with lemon wedge.

All steaks served with a Pepper or Diane Sauce.

Chicken Supreme.

Breast of chicken slowly cooked in a rich mushroom

and cream sauce, served on a bed of haggis.

Highland Lamb Shank.

Tender Lamb shank gently cooked in a rosemary and mint gravy,

presented on potato, swede, and carrot mash.

Our game products are from 'Ardgay Game'which is

sourced from Highland Estates.

  Highland Game Casserole.

A classic highland casserole with local pheasant,venison, and partridge

slowly cooked with onions,carrot, mushrooms in a rich red wine gravy.

Highland Venison Steak.

Local venison cooked on the griddle 

and finished with a red wine jus.

Half Roast Duck.

A half of boneless roast duck, finished with

a Hoisin and Plum Sauce.

A darne of prime Scottish Salmon.

gently poached in white wine and finished with

hollandaise sauce.

Whole Sea Bass.

carefully filleted, and gently grilled with lemon slices and butter.

Whole Rainbow Trout.

carefully filleted, gently grilled with olive oil and herbs.

Lemon Sole Fillets.

Two fillets of Lemon Sole grilled and finished

with a lemon balsamic glaze.

Broccoli, Tomato and Pasta Bake.

Penne pasta with broccoli florets in a tomato sauce

topped with cheese and baked.

Spinach & Mascarpone Lasagne.

Pasta sheets layered with spinach sauce and 

mascarpone cheese sauce, topped with cheese.

Vegetable Tagine.

Roasted red and yellow peppers, courgettes, spinach, onions

mixed spices, butternut squash in a spicy tomato sauce.

Bramley apple crumble served with cream or cusdard.

Mixed fruit Pannacotta.

Vanilla pannacotta with fresh fruit, ice cream,

and finished with a berry sauce.

Honeycomb Cheesecake .

A deliciously smooth and creamy vanilla cheesecake on a crunchy biscuit base,

topped with with honehcomb nuggets served with cream or ice cream.

Chocolate Dream.

Rich chocolate sponge filled and topped with

a smooth chocolate fudge icing.
