Stargazing break at The Steadings at the Grouse and Trout, Loch Ness

The Highlands of Scotland boast some of the darkest skies in Europe with Milky Way class observing from dozens of natural and rugged wilderness locations.

The Steadings at the Grouse and Trout is uniquely positioned for appreciating the wonders of night sky. On clear nights you can see the Milky Way soaring overhead and thousands of stars normally hidden under light polluted skies. We’re happy for you to stargaze from our grounds and can also guide you to some excellent nearby observing locations.

We also have access to local astronomer Stephen Mackintosh, who operates private stargazing tours from the Steadings.  For more details please see here …
